IndiGo is elevating its financial strategy with the opening of a new, larger office for its financing arm, InterGlobe Aviation Financial Services IFSC Private Limited (GCE), in GIFT City, Gandhinagar. The move signals a major step in strengthening the airline’s long-term growth by anchoring key financing operations in India’s emerging global financial hub.

The new GCE office offers expanded space and modern infrastructure to support the company’s rapidly growing role in aircraft financing. As IndiGo continues to scale its operations across domestic and international markets, GCE will serve as a vital platform for streamlining capital deployment and managing aircraft acquisitions more efficiently.

The inauguration ceremony saw the presence of IndiGo’s top executives, including the CEO, CFO, and Chief of Fleet Acquisition and Financing. A traditional Puja was held to mark the opening, followed by interactions with representatives from leading global aircraft leasing companies, underscoring GCE’s global connectivity and ambitions.

Licensed by the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) on June 26, 2024, GCE officially began operations on July 15, 2024. Its first aircraft financing—a brand-new Airbus A320neo—was completed on August 22, 2024. By March 31, 2025, GCE had already facilitated the financing of over 30 Airbus A320neo family aircraft and acquired several ATRs, which have been leased to IndiGo.

Looking ahead, GCE is poised to become the core financing vehicle for IndiGo’s future fleet expansion, reinforcing the airline’s commitment to cost-efficient growth and industry leadership.
